- A few decades ago Charlotte Wolff1 reported dermatoglyphics can provide some clues related to the intelligence of a subject, see table D-1.

- Only a few years ago some Spanish researchers reported some supportive evidence from the hands of feeble minded children. In the hands of 62 feeble minded children these Spanish researchers observed a high number of arches and radial loops, and a high number of abnormal creases was reported as well. By the way, Wolff described more specific a relationship between low IQ and 'an arch pattern on the thumb' combined with 'abnormal creases'.
