YELLOW LATERAL NAIL FOLD

A yellow lateral nail fold can have many causes. Usually the yellow colour is seen with a 'swelling' - often caused by for example nail biting or nail picking. Sometimes the yellow is caused by another nail problem, like for example: paronychia, ingrown nails [source: AAFP]

TREATMENT: 1) warm water soaks, 2) drainage of abscess
